Big Bus Food Truck (WCPSS School Meal Deliveries)

Wake County Public Schools, the YMCA of the Triangle, Activate Good and Wake County Government are partnering to continue delivering meals to children living in Wake County. YMCA buses will pick up boxes of food from WCPSS cafeterias and deliver to neighborhoods and hotels all over Wake County. Each neighborhood/hotel will receive a delivery once per week. These deliveries will consist of weekly meal "bundles" that will have meals for that child for an entire week. Volunteers are needed to help load meal boxes from the school cafeteria onto YMCA buses, ride the bus to the delivery sites, distribute boxes to families at each site and return materials and leftover food to the school cafeteria. There are 6 routes per day Tuesday through Thursday and one route on Fridays. Each route is approximately 4 hours starting around 10a.m. and ending around 2p.m. (Each route's times vary slightly. Please pay close attention to the sign up.)

Volunteers will sign up to help at a specific school and will meet at that school to load the YMCA bus. See sign-up for specific school locations and addresses.
