The YMCA Families ON! Challenge is a fun, family race specifically designed for all ages and athletic abilities. Family, friends, co-workers and teammates are all welcome! This self-paced, 2.5 mile outdoor adventure course features 20+ creative challenges and obstacles. Race participants will play in the mud, slide down a massive slip and slide and so much more! Volunteers will assist participants in each of the challenges and obstacles. Specific assignments will be given out on race day. Volunteers should be enthusiastic encouragers, love the outdoors and be ready to have some fun! (Please dress in clothing that you don't mind getting messy! The day calls for water, foam, paint, and food.) Volunteers, age 14 and older, are needed for the shifts listed below. Children under the age of 14 are welcome to join a parent/guardian who is volunteering, as long as they stay with that parent/guardian for the entire duration of the volunteering. (Snacks and water will be provided throughout the day, and lunch will be provided for volunteers that support for the whole event.) Please Note: volunteer sign-ups will close on 4/30. Communication with volunteers will begin then to discuss more details about assignments for the event.
