Chapel Hill - Carrboro YMCA
The YMCA of the Triangle is the area's leading provider of quality child care programs. Our onsite child care serves babies (6 weeks) through elementary aged children (8 years) while their parents participate in YMCA onsite programs. Children will participate in games, activities, crafts and outdoor play. Volunteers will assist YMCA staff in games and other activities while maintaining a safe, fun and friendly environment for children and their families. Each volunteer will meet with Kid Zone staff prior to their first shift as an Assistant. Participation in an orientation is mandatory for all Kid Zone Volunteers. Contact Alex Cole (Member Engagement Director) to schedule an orientation prior to signing up for your first shift.

Volunteers will assist YMCA staff in games and other activities while maintaining a safe, fun and friendly environment for children and their families. Volunteers in middle school may apply if they are YMCA of the Triangle Area members. All other volunteers should be rising high schoolers or older.

Our Kid Zone Care serves babies through elementary aged children while their parents participate in YMCA onsite programs. Children will participate in games, activities, crafts and outdoor play. Volunteers will assist YMCA staff in games and other activities while maintaining a safe, fun and friendly environment for children and their families. Volunteers in middle school may apply if they are YMCA of the Triangle Area members. All other volunteers should be rising high schoolers or older. Volunteers should sign up for a shift no later than 48 hours to the start of the shift.

*****For the month of May, we have added a new volunteer opportunity in Kid Zone. : Come spend time with our littlest Y members by being a Mystery Reader in our preschool room (18m-4y) in Kid Zone. Staff will support the room while you read a book or two. Mystery readers should be 18+.
